Purpose
This document is intended to guide a user through
a basic setup of Campaign Desktop (all editions).
Install and Setup

Download the software from the link in your
download request email.

Open the.zip file using WinZip. For a free download
go to www.winzip.com.

Double click the CampaignDesktopInstall.exe file.

Follow the instructions on the installation
screen.

Campaign is now installed.
Before you begin ensure that you have Campaign
software installed, a database populated with email
addresses and the name or IP address of the SMTP
server to which you will be connecting.
Launch Campaign
Create a new campaign
Step 1 - Information Source

Here you will specify the pathway to the database
for this campaign.

Select the database type from the drop down
field

Click on the Browse button to set the
pathway to a local or network MS Access database
file, or to select a system DSN.

Select the table or query from the drop down
field.

Select the field that contains the email address
from the drop down field.

Click on the Message tab
Step 2 - The Message

Select Plain Text from the drop down field
-
Input the subject of the message
-
Enter complete plain text message in the Plain
Text Message Body field

Click on the Sending tab
Step 3 - Sending

Enter the name or IP of the SMTP server to
which you will be connecting
-
Enter the From address (Your email address)
-
Enter the Return-path address (Your email address)

Click Close to save your configuration
Step 4 - Project Completion
Run your project
- Highlight your new projects in the project window
and click Run to send out the emails.
- Congratulations, you have successfully configured
and delivered your first email project.
