
The Campaign Server must be available to the Internet with a domain name. Make sure the appropriate firewall rules are in place if you have a firewall on your network (refer to your firewall configuration). In the Default Campaign Configuration area in Campaign, enter the domain name for the Campaign Server of Firewall.
On the Click-Thru tab, enter the fully qualified URL in the Destination URL field. e.g http://www.yourdomain.com for each click-thru link you want to track.
Enter the link text or image tag in the Display Text field. e.g. Click Here
Select the database field to update when a click-thru is recorded.
On the Message tab, place the {CLICKTHRU#}
merge field in the message body where you want the link to appear. (Replace
the # sign with the corresponding click-thru number set up on the Click
Thru tab.)
The Click-Thru feature merges information obtained from the database with the URL, creating hyperlinks, allowing for trackable click-thru information.
From the main menu:
Click Administration < Manage Configuration
Specify the Port Number. The default port is 81. You should not use any of the common ports already in use, 80, 25, 110 etc.
Enter the domain name of a public computer in the Campaign Server Address field, e.g. "server1.domain.com". If Campaign resides behind a firewall you will need to enter the domain name of the firewall in this field.
Click Save
This is a global configuration and will apply to all of your email campaigns
Click Add to create a new Email Response message for the selected click thru.
Select an existing Email Response message
for the selected campaign, click Edit to modify.
