To update Campaign Enterprise to the latest edition of the same version,
download the latest build and install over the
top of the existing program. We recommend saving
a copy of the campaign.sto file to a safe directory
prior to updating, just in case.
IMPORTANT UPGRADE INFORMATION When updating from Campaign Enterprise 10, to Campaign Enterprise 11, you can transfer a copy of the campaign.sto file and the content folder from the old directory to the new. However, due to some of the advancements in version 11, not all of your settings will take so you must be aware of that. The items that you will need to reconfigure include:
- Sending Options. Now these are managed globally so you will need to create a new one either in the Admin Settings > SMTP Connections area, or from the Send Setting Page in the campaign edit screens.
- Email Accounts. These are also managed globally in the Email Accounts area. You can set up any number of bounce and email unsubscribe accounts and would select the appropriate account in the Bounce-back Page or Unsubscribe Page in the campaign edit screens.
- Embedded Images. If you are using embedded images in your HTML message, you will need to upload the images to the C:\Program Files\CampaignEnterprise11\www\Uploads folder in order for the images to work. You will also need to modify your message in the HTML editor to modify the link paths to the appropriate folder.

|
|
Version 11.0.235
- October 19, 2009
Made improvements to click through processing. Now, after you create your HTML message with normal links, you go to the click through page and extract all the links you want to track and activate them. Works with image links, mapped images, etc.
Variable return paths are possible, making it easier to identify which campaign generated a bounce. Eliminates the need for multiple bounce accounts.
Global Email Account and SMTP Server management. You can set up and configure your email accounts globally and they are available for all campaigns, or you can add a new email account or sending connection from the campaign directly. Test features also help you ensure your connections work prior to sending.
Global group and user security. Now an admin user can assign campaigns to groups and users in the group and user management area. The individual owner of a campaign can still assign read, edit, and run privileges under the Misc. Settings page as well.
Improvements to user time out and login features. Now, you are logged out after 15 minutes of inactivity. The default time out is still configurable in the Admin > Manage Configuration area. Also, if a particular user tries to log in from a different session with an existing session open for that user, it will take it over on the new session attempt.
Built-in Subscriber list now allow you to import your .csv and .txt files into a built in list which you can choose directly from the Datasource Tab. You can also quickly set up and test campaigns before investing in an more robust database.
Improved interface is easier to read and configure. It includes new navigation feature that take admin users directly into the administration pages they need.
A new Feedback Loop allows campaign to monitor the FBL traffic from various providers like AOL that allow FBL monitoring. This is configured in the Default Campaign Configuration page.
The xconfig.txt work arounds that were added to version 10 have all been incorporated into the program in their appropriate places. Many of the performance enhancers are located on the Misc. page in your campaigns.
The summary logs can be sent to as many email addresses as the field can hold, simply separate the emails with a comma.
Email footers - Now you can set up one or more footers to be applied to the campaigns. The footers are set up in the Administration area and are available in the Compose Email Message tab.
The plain text message can now pull in the HTML message you enter in the HTML section.
Embedded images can now be stored in the following folder, C:\Program Files\CampaignEnterprise11\www\Uploads. Once you upload your images there, they are available to everybody using campaign.
Multiple email attachments are now allowed in Campaign Enterprise on the Compose Email Message page.
New WYSIWYG Visual HTML Editor can handle more advanced coding better than the previous one. It does not modify code you place in the message. The visual portion shows tables and other features better so you can easily manage your message.
Several new HTML Templates are now available.
New EML sending option allows you to drop your .eml files directly into a message queue without having to make an SMTP connection to your server. This works when Campaign is running in a network with a mail server installed with access to the queue through a file path.
Support for additional authentication types including, Plain, CRAM-MD5, and NTLM.
Support digital signatures from either the senders Digital Certificate, or using the recipient's.
The {OPENENEDEMAILMARKER} is inserted into the message for you when you enable that feature.

computer where Access 2007 is not installed, and
use Campaign Enterprise for the connection, but
the drivers need to be installed. To install the
